Another Beautiful Step for You-Color: Our Books Are Coming to the Old Québec Funicular! ❤️

October 24, 2026 | By Nancy Béliveau, Founder of You-Color

Sometimes, the smallest moments in business bring the biggest smiles.

Today, I am delighted to share another wonderful milestone in my You-Color journey!

The Funiculaire du Vieux-Québec (Old Québec Funicular) will soon be welcoming our Québec City coloring books to its boutique!

Our first Québec City volume, available in both French and English, will be arriving in early November.

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mme Allicya Angers for her trust and for this lovely new collaboration.

A Little Dream That Keeps Growing

When I started You-Color in 2018, I had a simple idea: to create books that would allow people to discover beautiful places through illustrations, stories, history, and the relaxing pleasure of coloring. Since, 2023, I dedicated myself full time to my business and changed the brand. The demand for orders started to come in more regularly.

As a graphic designer and artist, I have always loved architecture, travel, and discovering the little details that make a place special.

Québec City holds a particularly special place in my heart. Its cobblestone streets, historic buildings, welcoming boutiques, and magnificent Château Frontenac have inspired so many of my illustrations.

Every drawing represents hours of work, observation, creativity, and love for the places I choose to illustrate.

And every time a new business decides to carry my books, it reminds me why I began this adventure.

From the Château Frontenac to the Old Québec Funicular

One of my happiest business moments was seeing my books become available at the Fairmont boutique of the magnificent Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.

It was a dream come true.

And now, another iconic Québec City destination is joining the You-Color journey!

The Old Québec Funicular connects the historic Upper Town and Lower Town, offering visitors an unforgettable experience in the heart of Old Québec.

Just imagine: visitors exploring Québec City's charming streets, discovering its history, taking photographs, enjoying local boutiques, and perhaps bringing home a You-Color book as a special souvenir of their adventure.

A souvenir they can color, enjoy, and revisit long after their trip has ended.

That is exactly what I dreamed You-Color could become.

More Than Just a Coloring Book

My books are created for curious minds of all ages.

They are an invitation to slow down, learn something new, appreciate architecture, and experience travel a little differently.

I love the idea that a visitor from another country might bring one of my books home and discover even more about Québec City through its pages.

Perhaps a grandparent will enjoy coloring alongside a grandchild. Perhaps a traveler will rediscover a favorite street or landmark. Or perhaps someone who has never visited Québec will be inspired to come and discover our beautiful city.

That is the magic I hope to share through You-Color.

Building a Business, One Relationship at a Time

Being an independent entrepreneur is not always easy.

There are long working days, challenges, moments of uncertainty, and plenty of lessons to learn along the way.

But there are also wonderful people who believe in what you create.

For me, every collaboration is about much more than business. It is about trust, kindness, respect, and supporting one another.

I am especially grateful to the tourism businesses and boutiques that give independent creators like me an opportunity to grow.

Each new partnership encourages me to keep drawing, keep creating, and keep believing in this little business with a very big dream.

Thank You for Being Part of the Journey

To Mme Allicya Angers and the team at the Funiculaire du Vieux-Québec, thank you for welcoming You-Color.

And to everyone who has purchased one of my books, shared a post, recommended You-Color to a friend, or simply offered a kind word along the way: thank you.

You may not realize how much those little gestures mean to a small business owner.

Our first Québec City coloring book will soon be available at the Old Québec Funicular in both French and English.

And who knows where the next You-Color adventure will take us?

One thing is certain: I am not finished dreaming, drawing, or discovering beautiful places!

With gratitude and a colorful heart,

Nancy Béliveau
