Explore the architecture of Germany’s capital with this free printable Bode Museum coloring page. The illustration features the museum’s magnificent domed façade beside the River Spree, an elegant bridge and Berlin’s famous Television Tower in the distance.
Constructed between 1897 and 1904, the Neo-Baroque building stands at the northwestern tip of Berlin’s Museum Island. Architect Ernst Eberhard von Ihne positioned it directly beside the river so that the monumental structure appears to rise from the water.
The museum originally opened in 1904 as the Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum. Today, the Bode Museum presents important collections of sculpture, Byzantine art, paintings and coins. It is part of Berlin’s Museum Island, which was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Bode Museum
